The modeling and rail fanning community have lost 2 members.


Alex Ross was found deceased 06/24. Alex lived in Brazil a few people may have known Alex from his video series Trains & Railways of Brazil. A lot of his videos had footage of iron ore trains that ran in Brazil. RIP Alex, you will be missed.


Russell Campbell passed away on Saturday, June 16. He was a great modeler and well known to many for his HO scale Campbell Valley and Ohio R.R. Russell will be truly missed in the modeling community. RIP Russell.

US Steel To Add 300 Jobs, Restart Second Blast Furnace Plant

The company said Tuesday that it’s restarting the second of two blast furnaces at its plant in Granite City, Illinois, near St. Louis. It will bring on 300 workers to support the effort.
